Does Steel Young charge freight?
Steel Young does not charge freight for services in the state of Texas. For out of state, freight is negotiated based on the percentage of profit given to our customer and our company.
Does Steel Young show scale documentation?
Yes, our customers see the scrap yard ticket that we receive, and we pay based upon those weights.
Can customers and prospective customers visit your facility?
Yes, we allow customers to visit our facility, no appointment is necessary,
Does Steel Young buy from the public?
No, we do not buy from the general public. We buy from corporations, companies and small businesses only.
Can customers have the ability to see material being stripped?
Yes, we can provide a link to security cameras so that customers can view your material being stripped.
When do customers know the price per pound per commodity?
Steel Young will provide a price per pound per commodity before the material leaves the customers facility.
What is Steel Young's lead time on payment for materials?
Steel Young asks for 3 (three) weeks, but we tend to pay within a week and a half to two weeks.
What payment methods are acceptable?
Steel Young utilizes ACH, wire, and cashier checks.

Yes, Steel Young provides open tops or Gaylord's for scrap material.
